-Do you photograph weddings throughout Connecticut?
Yes! I’m based in Connecticut and photograph weddings across the state, from coastal venues and in the city, and I’m always happy to travel throughout New England. I also love photographing weddings in Rhode Island, my home state!

-What is your photography style?
My style is a blend of documentary style and editorial, timeless, true-to-color images and natural, candid moments. I’ll guide you when needed (especially for portraits) but never interrupt real moments as they unfold.

-How many photos will we receive?
On average, couples receive 50-60 images per hour of fully edited images, dependent on number of photographers, and amount of action happening at the wedding. Every image is carefully edited by me and wedding-ready, delivered to you in a personal online gallery.

-How long does it take to receive our photos?
You’ll receive a sneak peek within the week and your full online gallery within 8 weeks of your wedding day. Would you like it sooner!? I offer rush delivery for a small fee, let me know!
Your wedding gallery remains online for a year. It is imperative that you download all photos when you receive then to ensure safe keeping.

-Do you offer engagement sessions?
Yes! Engagement sessions can always be included in your package. They’re a great way to get comfortable in front of the camera and create images for save-the-dates or your wedding website. I love a good Harkness State Park engagement session. The mansion, gardens, ocean, and beach! What more can you ask for! 

-Will you help us with our wedding day timeline?
Absolutely. I help all couples create a realistic photography timeline that ensures great lighting, keeps the day flowing smoothly, and allows you to actually enjoy your wedding. The last thing you want to do is rush this special day, it goes too quickly as it is. This is probably one of the most important things for me to help you with.

-Do you recommend a first glance?
YES!! Let me tell you the benefits of a first look. For one, you aren’t rushing through one of the most important days of your lives. And you both get to spend much more of your day together- what’s more important than that! You’ll be able to accomplish all couple photos and wedding party photos, and you have more time to enjoy your day, your guests, family and friends, and simply party!
If you wanted to also do family photos before the ceremony, allow time for that too and you can attend your cocktail hour! How awesome!

-How much time should I plan for such things as couple shots, wedding party photos, and family photos?
Such a great question! Please allow enough time for us to capture these super important photos. You don’t want to rush these! I always love 45 minutes for the couple, 20 min for the wedding party- but dependent upon how large the party is, and 45 minutes for family photos- also dependent on how many family combinations there are. I’m here to help with that!
If you are planning on preparation photos, do know that we like to get the bride dressed an hour before departing for the first look or ceremony. There are so many special moments to capture!

-Do you work with a second photographer?
Yes. Most weddings include a second photographer to capture multiple angles, candid guest moments, and ensure full coverage of your day. I always recommend a second photographer! And here at Tammy Blais Photographer, you will be getting two master photographers who have worked together for many years!

-Do you recommend uplighting?
100 percent! Uplighting brings the WOW! Sometimes your venue will offer this or your DJ will. We feel uplighting is so important that we also offer it in our packages as an add on. Any color can be selected, but if you are unsure, please ask us as we know which colors look best!

-How do we book you?
Booking is simple:

-Do you offer albums or prints?
Yes! I offer professional and custom designed handcrafted albums and high-quality prints so your photos live beyond your screen. You have the ability to select the photos you would like in your album, and I will design each page on your album specially for you! There are multiple cover options to choose from- we will review this together!

-Do you edit all the photos?
Every delivered image is fully edited for color, exposure, and consistency. I maintain a natural look, no heavy filters or trendy effects that won’t age well. You’ll receive classic, timeless images to pass on for generations…. Picture frame worthy!

-Can we request specific shots?
Of course! I encourage couples to share family groupings or meaningful moments they want captured. You’ll be hiring me for my experience to make sure nothing important is overlooked. You can rest assured that I will be covering the entire day and it’s moments. This is what 15 years of experience brings, I know where to be and when, and what moments are going to happen before you do!

-What if we need to change our date?
Life happens. If your date changes and I’m available, your retainer will transfer.

-Do you photograph elopements or intimate weddings?
Yes! I love intimate celebrations, micro-weddings, and elopements throughout Connecticut and New England. I offer special pricing for this, so be sure to ask!
